Join the brilliant Karen Wright (GBBO Star, series 9) live from Wakefield, UK as she teaches you to bake a showstopping Greek centrepeice alongside some mezze classics.
This class takes place on Sunday 3rd March at the following times:

This eye-catching pie is filled with feta cheese and spinach, a popular filling all over Greece. The side meze dishes are typical of any Greek Taverna: Tzatziki, Gigantes and Skordalia.
Bake With A Legend Online Classes are an interactive experience, where we limit group sizes to around 25 to ensure an intimate online setting. Not only do you have your celebrity baker teaching you, but you also have one of our brilliant Bake With A Legend hosts who will ensure the smooth running of your experience ensuring everyone is enjoying themselves.
If you need any help at any point during the class, you’ll be encouraged to raise your hand and your baker will be virtually joining you in your own kitchen in no time to assist you!
You’ll bake along in tandem with Karen, learning many tips and tricks a long the way as you perfect all the skills required to make her delicious Greek pie. Karen will also be on hand to answer your questions, be those about baking or his experiences of being involved on such an iconic television show.
Tickets are priced at £35 for individuals and £50 for groups of two or more that will join from the same screen. Please note we can accept requests to move classes with two or more weeks notice prior to the class – any requests to do so, will incur a £5 administrative charge.

Ingredients
FOR THE PIE PASTRY:
250g (1 cup + 2 tbsp) room temperature butter – broken into chunks
250g (2 cups) strong bread flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp lemon juice
150ml (⅔ cup) chilled water
FOR THE PIE FILLING:
2 tbsp olive oil
200g (~7-10 cups)* spinach – clean and dry
8 spring onions/scallions – trimmed & chopped
Zest & juice of 1 lemon
1 tbsp chia seeds soaked in 1 tbsp water
1 tbsp oregano
400g (~2 cups)* feta cheese
1 tbsp runny honey (plus extra for glazing)
2 tortilla wraps
Salt and pepper
1 beaten egg
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tsp sumac
*Cup measurements are approximate, scales are recommended
FOR THE SKORDALIA:
400g (~1 ¾ cups) potato, peeled and cut into chunks
6 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp white wine vinegar
1 tsp garlic puree
Salt and pepper
Hot water, to loosen the mix
FOR THE GIGANTES:
2 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, peeled and sliced
1 tin chopped tomatoes
1 tin butterbeans, drained and rinsed
1 tsp garlic
1 tsp oregano
Pinch of cinnamon
Salt and pepper
Sliced spring onions/scallions & fresh mint to garnish
FOR THE TZATZIKI:
200ml (~¾ cup) Greek yoghurt
4 inches of cucumber
Sprigs of fresh mint
Extra virgin olive oil
